And we all know that his BP his sometimes high because he does ALOT of work, like go to school and work 7 days a week. So can someone tell give me any kind of info on what might go on in the MRI? cuz my family is very worried and scared.

an MRI is a test which uses magnets.. it will give the doctors a very good image of in this case... the eye and brain to see what (if anything) is causing the problems...

the test is painless... If you are claustophobic, you need to let them know before hand as the machine is very enclosed...(unless the hospital you go to has the new ones).. and it is also very noisy in there...

Since you have mentioned hypertensive history, your consultant is good one, he is going straight for his diagnosis as he intends to see the status of brain , optic nerve, optic blood vessels and condition of retina. So that whatever final Diagnosis he establishes you may be referred to the respective consultant e.g in case of retinal detatchment he will send you to a suitable opthalmological surgeon.

There is nothing you should be least assured at my end as you are in safe hands and can go for MRI.

The MRI is just a fancy xray machine, to simplify it. He will be put into a tube and will hear some knocking and clicking. If he is claustrophobic, they have open MRI's.
