had a slight accident on my 2004 susuki gsx 1400, and ive cracked the cover on the left hand side, round thingy near the gear foot lever and lost all the oil out of it, know what i mean!? its the only thing not listed in manual and cant think what its called tried lots of parts sites but nothing (with my description surprised!!) help

Hi,
I'm not familar with your particular bike but the easiest way to resolve this is to go to a local Suzuki dealer. He will have CD - Roms with exploded drawings of the bike so that you can look at them and then point out which part you are talking about.
They get this kind of stuff all the time and it is really easy for them to deal with if you will go to them and ask. Just be sure to have the bikes model, year and VIN information with you when you go. You can get that off your vehicle registration that you carry in your wallet.

Okay, let's try to work this out. You said you cracked the 'cover' on the 'left hand side' and oil spilled out of it and it's near the gear lever so we can assume it is on the 'engine'.
I know!
How about 'left hand engine side cover'.
Price; probably lots!

Magneto cover or stator cover and they dont make a 1400!

Could very well be the alternator cover on a GSX1400.

its a timing cover on your engine

the reason you cant find that model is because they dont make it. It is probably the Hayabusa 1300
