i would love to live forever as long as i could keep my youth. would like to stay in my twenties forever. why? well there is so much to see and do in the world that a lifetime is not long enough to do or see everything.

Sometimes I think I should live forever, then some other times I think I rather not. I have not made up my mind yet. As this obviously is the big one, I therefore need more time to think and decide. I need to see more of this life to make sure that things can actually get better in the end, or in case of life forever after some time has passed. I want to make sure that hope is real and dreams can come true. I do not want buy into the idea of living forever without knowing to a very good degree of certainty that it would be worth it. I am also a bit suspicious about life right now, as I have noticed that few things in this life do not go very well regardless of fact that you try so hard, but I am not disappointed altogether, I keep hope. I want to give life a fair chance.

The point is if this life is just a sample of what can follow then I think we should test it properly and thoroughly to avoid getting into any dodgy dealing later along the way.

No way!!! I'm only in my 40's & I can see how much the world has changed from when I grew up. Some stuff I like, but other stuff drives me crazy! I can see that in 20 or 30 years from now, if things keep changing like they have been, the world will be so different from what I am comfortable with, that I don't really think I will want to keep on living. Especially if I wasn't in good health, had money issues or if my family & friends were gone, or going soon. The things that make life enjoyable are what living is all about to me, without those things, I'd rather not just exist day after day, for what?

My god no - I am ony 34 and seen enough to last me a lifetime - as we are living longer people are seeing the country get worse and more conflict. I will just be happy to live long enough to see my children grow up and hopefully see some grandkids too

I would like to live forever, just for educational purposes. I think it is difficult for me to conceive death, simply because of the fact that live goes on after you die. I mean, sometimes i feel so engrossed in myself that i dont think about the fact that my existence is rather insignificant and i pale as 1 out of 6 billion. The world will keep spinning after i die.
so to live forever would be knowing what would happen after i die. for example 200 years from now i would know what was going on and how things ended in my lifetime and how they changed and who ultimately prevailed. who was right and wrong and worldy debates we concern ourselves with in our lifetime.
I mean, its like, if i was born several years earlier, and was due to die right before world war II ended, how terrible that i never saw the outcome!!!!! (as im sure, sadly, many people saw their fate).
so i would live forever, just to know.

not at all. it's only the realisation that time's ticking on that keeps me motivated. it's like working to a deadline. if i thought i was going to live forever i'd never get anything done...

immortality is often looked down upon because of the fact that all your friends and family would die. this is true, however it is a part of life that one experiences wether or not he/she is imortal. i would chose to be and would take on the role of a fly-on-the-wall. i would observe and learn everything there is to know and improve myself in everyway i knew how. however, i would conciously not have an impact on those around, probably make friend and ya, they would die, but thats what people do and i will make new friends and remember fondly the dead ones.

I would like to live forever because then there would be so much to do in life, without fear of death.
But we all have to die- and that is part of life.

no, not in the sence that i would be old, feel pain, get sick, see others i love die etc. But if its in a way to see what the future will look like, or to be able to see the future i would love to, but liveing for ever would suck

The nosey, bossy part of me cries "Oh yes" with resounding triumph;the rational part thinks " Oh No!" It would be so lonely and imagine watching the decline and death of all those you hold dear. Leave alone perhaps the demise of planet earth...
