Uh, yeah.
Some people may have a nail-biting problem or something else--they want a good job done on it! Not a lousy one that doesn't last long.

I think they look nice if done professionally. I get mine done ever two to three weeks. The gel nails are the best for me. I have had acrylic before, and they were very strong. With the gel I have to keep them shorter because the nail is not as strong, but they always look shiny even when I dont have nail polish on. Alot of people ask me if they are natural because the gel does not look the same way as the acrylic without polish on. It always stays shiny, like I said before, and it looks as if you just put a coat of clear nail polish over your nails.

Fake nails either they be acrylic or gel nails look awesome on hands. Especially if they are done professionally. It makes you look clean and also makes you look like you care about how you look. The only bad thing is they can make your under nail a little weaker and more fragile than with out. Hope I help you out.

I assume you mean aycrilic nails. They are nice and look amazing for specail occassions. If you don't go cray with really long ones they even look real. They are also very hardy and don't break like the flimsy do it yourself ones. However, a couple things to keep in mind.

1. Expensive to get done
2. They damage your realy nails, once in awhile is okay but if you wear them constantly they will really effect your nails.
3. As they grow out they look bad. You will either have to get them filled and thus more money or just let them grow out which is kinda ugly.
4. They need to be removed professionally as well or you WILL destroy your nails, and again that's more money.

A nurse told me that under the fake nail, fungi can grow and multiply really fast (as it is an ideal breading ground). This infection may spread to the underside of your real nail, causing a nasty fungal infection. Your nail doesn't really recover after that.
As nice as fake nails look, they do damage your real nail, and if you take it off, you'll have to wait for your natural nail to grow out before it looks healthy again.

i have been keeping mine done for a few weeks now, they look nice and will stay on if u o to a good place, i prefer to let the asians do mine especially the men, they do a wonderful job, but i took mine off and my nails grew, but they were weak and fragile. i have a biting problem so i have been getting my nails done to help with this. when u go to take them off soak them in acetone for a while, or u can have the people do it themselves. take vitamins for your nails to help strenghten while u have fake nails on. when i took mine off they were a lil strong, all i probably needed to do was buff my nails and put nail hardner on them!!! also u will have to get them filled every few weeks!!!!

They look very nice, and I had mine done at christmas, but I have taken them off now because they needed re filling every 3 weeks and could'nt afford to keep having them done. My real nails underneath are ruined and it's going to take a long time to get them back to how they originaly were.

Fake nails look beautiful, but they really damage your real nails.
They become very expensive and is a waste of money.

They look nice but I think they can ruin your own nails if worn for a long time.
You may have to put up with uneven nails until they grow back.
