Lovely idea. I recommend a prepackaged gift box with candies and wine and Passover cookies, MAKE SURE IT SAYS KOSHER FOR PASSOVER

Gift giving in the Jewish culture is usually on Purim.
However, making a donation to a worth-while cause in honor of a Jewish person is always acceptable at any time.
You might call his synagogue and find out where you can leave this gift.
If you are lucky enough to be joining your boss at his seder, bring a bottle of kosher-for-Passover wine.

My best friend is Jewish and as far as I know, Passover is not like Hannukah where there is gift giving. It's more of a sober, religious holiday and they can't eat most foods, except for certain traditional foods. So, I don't think it's necessary to give your boss a gift. I think your boss would be pleased, however, by you just showing interest in the holiday that he holds so dear.

It's not necessary to give a gift. However if you wanted to, the kosher-for-passover section of the local grocery has nice gift boxes of candies and treats (make sure the label says kosher for passover, not just kosher!).

I truly don't think he will hold it against you.
Just give him the gift and tell him happy holiday.
It is the thought that counts.
Below are some ideas that might be a good purchase.
Hand-embroidered matzah cover
Ceremonial serving piece (Seder plate)
Passover cookbook
Matzah box
Matzah tray
Silverplate Elijah cup
Haggadah Holder
Star of David wrapped soaps
Beeswax candles
Matzah and afikomen bag set

Sure; that would be a nice gesture. If you bring any food articles, you must be very careful that it is strictly kosher for Passover.
It would probably be better to get something for the house.
It would be best to give it on the day before the night of the seder.

Traditionally, passover gifts would have to do with the seder itself, and are usually exchanged among those of the jewish faith. Do you happen to know if he's orthodox, conservative, reform or reconstructionist? If the former two, he's going to be more traditionally oriented than the latter.

people usually dont give gifts on passover (only prizes if you find the matzah) But if you want to, how about a nice bottle of kosher wine? (kosher wine is very common and included in most sedars on passover)

Fresh flowers are nice for the table during the sedur. And like someone mentioned, kosher wine is always a great gift, and very welcomed during this time. It's very thoughtful of you to think of a gift! Shalom!

To stay on the safe side dont bring any food. Try bringing something nice and simple. Like a saramic plate or bowl from Home Goods would be thoughtful and useful too.
