Justine or Serena because they are the most consistent top players, but we could have a surprise this year because we have great new comers like Peer, Hantuchova, Jankovic, Cheveradaze(if i spelled it right).
Federer or Nadal. I don't see anyone .

Justine Henin is certainly the favorite for the ladies' title, but she must be under tension watching Serena. If Serena takes this form to Roland Garros, then NO one, including Justine can stand up to her. Serena can play well on all courts, and she almost beat Justine in the controversial 2003 French Open semi-final (final score 6-2 4-6 7-5 to Justine).
Among men, I will say that both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will be the favorites. The band of Argentine and Spanish players could be a matter of concern to both of them, though.

i think and hope that nadal will win the mens title because even if he is complete muck on other surfaces,on clay he is the king.also he is now returning to good form with a recent win at pacific life and is doing well at miami as well.obviously u cant write off federer but on clay nadal is just too good.
on the womens side i think justine henin has a great chance cos most of her slams are at the french open and she is a really good clay courter.serena will also be a tough contender but i am not too sure about what her game is like on clay.

roger Federer will win the french open... considering his short comings there and his recent loses at 2 tournaments.. he is really going to step up his clay court game to win the french... he has alot of motivation for it.. Womens side.. very complicated, and i do not think it will be the willam sisters.. too many clay court players that are much better then them, such as vaidsova, kuznetosva, jankovic etc.... I think in reality though it would more then likely be justine.. she is the best mover.. has the most stamina for a clay court, etc./.. but yes even still i would pick alll the above players over the willams sisters at the french

Justine henin for the women-she's just too good on clay but for the men,I'm not sure, probably between Rafael nadal and roger federer.roger is determined to win the slam that has eluded him for years now and Rafa is not playing his best.if Rafa can up his game before then,he should be able to do the job...

Most likely, it will be a repeat of last years.
Women: Most likely Hardenne, but if the William sisters want the title, they will get it.
Men: Most likely Nadal. His main threat might be Federer.

Roger Federer, hes due and he deserves it.
Serena Williams will most definitely win the womens, she is a very dominant force and after that beating she put out on Sharapova watch out.
