I've come across some real b*stards who are total jobsworths, but I've met some really good ones too , my job takes me into some awkward places and I've had traffic wardens stopping other traffic to help me on the other hand I've been threatened with a ticket for blocking traffic , so there's good and bad ones.

No, but worse are the jobsworths in the city hall who protect them when the ticket is illegal. They pass the refund claim buck around to each other. Sick. And the wardens don't get a reprimand, much less the sack. A case for Watchdog if you ask me.

Well, it's bad when you get a ticket, but if there were no wardens you wouldn't be able to drive around the towns and cities for all the selfish numpties dumping their cars in stupid places.

They can be a over zealous i live in a permit holders street we can never park in our street but you can never find a traffic warden to book these people its not funny when you have to park a long way from your house they only seem interesting in patrolling the main streets looking for prey

Sorry Smurf, you know when I was with the local Geheimestaatspolizei I issued a few of those myself.
I have to tell you though, it could be worse. You could've been subjected to a thorough search and perhaps found a new "friend" in the English police service.

Hey I don't mind them. I live near to a main shopping street and loads of offices. Local residents can't get a space because of tight lazy people who think the car park 50yds away is beneath them and park on the pavement. If you act like a brat then thats what you tend to get in return. More power to 'em

It's not the warden's fault you got a ticket. You are the one that broke the law. Pay your fine and stop breaking the law. They are called police officers here in America.
