I bet if you asked him the things he was self-conscious about, and he was honest, he'd have a list of things a mile long that he fretted over about himself... that you don't even notice because you see HIM :)

let me tell you something, it doesn't matter your size, shape or anything else for the matter, it is your heart that he sees. you two are best friends which means he probably knows you inside and out. you two probably talk all the time or hang out, and he has gotten to know the real you. nobody is perfect so don't think you have to lose weight to get him interested. if he's interested none of the "small things", like weight will matter, and if he tries telling you to lose weight to get his attention, send him packing. you want someone who can be there for you unconditionally, which is what a real friend does. "Beauty is only skin deep" and doesn't last forever. Why you think they invented botox and plastic surgery? Alot of times people can get past looks/weight because they know the person inside. Some of the most beautiful and skinniest people have some of the ugliest personalities and are miserable. So personally I think you have been blessed to have a wonderful personality, a wonderful best friend, and possibly more. The happiest couples are those who are best friend, because face it, once old age sits in and everything starts sagging and dragging you have got to have something to fall back on, and who better than your man/ best friend. Also don't sell yourself short, embrace the big beautiful you. You might need to listen to Monique, and realize full figured is in, and that nobody wants a bone but a dog. All the best.

It's seldom really about looks and more about personality and compatibility. If you want to lose a little weight, do it for you. You will feel more confident and attractive and that will increase your feeling that you are appealing. But he probably likes the inner you more than he cares about the outer you.

He's a very discriminating and tasteful gentleman after all, yes?

Try to look your best and then ask him. It is better to know than not to know this way you don't waste your energy. There is always someone for everyone and everyone deserves the right to be happy!

if he fancies you, who cares what he looks like. Not all guys love skinny minnies (which is good). Be happy that he likes you.
