It's yellow gold, and It's a one carat in the middle, and and 12 little diamonds equaling 1/2 carat. I like it to pop, but when I clean it, it just tends to get dirty again. What can I do?

Funny as this may sound I learned from my grandma a cheap but great way to clean rings. Get an old toothbrush and some white toothpaste. Put the toothpaste on the either the ring or the brush and brush the ring clean....rinse well with water. Will shine like new. Can be done as needed.
Don't forget to take the ring in to the shop every 6 months to year and have the setting and prongs checked. Normally they will do it for free.

Unless you're wearing gloves all the time, they're going to get dirty no matter what. The best thing you can do though is take them off when you shower and wash dishes. The soap puts a scum on them. Never put lotion on your hands with your rings on. And never wear them when you're dealing with food, especially meat. My husband is a jeweler and he was cleaning a customers ring one time and a piece of ground beef came out from underneath a stone.
There's a sollution sold at most jewelry stores, it comes in a red tube. It'll clean your rings up good. But if you want to use something in the home, take a little dish and fill it with some rubbing alcohol. Let your rings sit in that for a few minutes, then swish them around. Take a clean toothbrush and dip it in some alcohol and scrub around the ring, in every crevice. You can also use pipe cleaners, and if there's a big enough space between the stone and the setting, you can use a small enough pipe cleaner to scrub in this, stick it in and let it go through to the other side. Then just rinse with warm water.
I wouldn't try the toothpaste because if you put too much on, you'll be standing there for awhile trying to take it off...you may need a power washer, lol.
**added details**
If the sollution didn't work you either didn't leave it on long enough/scrub long enough or your ring was really dirty. I have some and use it on my 3 stone engagment ring and I also have the same exact type of wedding band, real diamonds and both are in white gold, so it shouldn't have given you a problem....unless...your rings aren't real. That's the only other reason I can think of.

If you own a cappuccino machine, the nozzle that steams the milk works beautifully to clean diamond jewelry. Wrap the tips of tweezers with cotton, and hold your ring under the steam to avoid getting burned.

The Jeweler my husband bought mine at allows me to walk in as often as i like and they clean it free of charge and check my stone. I don tknow exaclty how they clean it but it comes out looking great and since they are in the area and just about everywhere has the chain i can go into anyone of them even without my receipts and warranty and they will clean it right up for me

Toothpaste and an old toothbrush works very well it makes everything shine. Be aware that no matter what you use, the acids in your body and you work with your hands will always make your jewelry look dull and dirty and you will have to clean them regularly.

I read this somewhere and it works like a charm! Try using a soft bristle toothbrush & some toothpaste.

there is a solution you can purchase in a jar type container that keep your jewelry fresh and popping daily. its the same solution that the jewelry stores use. try your local jeweler for this product or they can recommend a store for you.
