with all the fear the "bush regime" is spewing about terrorism....but what atre they doing about securing the border that thousands ofpeople cross over every day? theyre not all people looking for a better life.....

is the fear of attack just an excuse to get people to follow blindly, cause i would think that an insecure border would be higher priority than some people on another continent that might maybe attack us....is it just an ugly subject that no one wants to touch?

well someones touched it, private companies are hiring border patrol agents (look in any southwestern newspaper, about 6 months ago) and some of them are hiring cops. all of them are well armed because i see them every day. is this bushes answer? because its actually kinda scary.

the border is more important than any other security "risks" right now, lets get the rednecks with shotguns off the border and a real plan to secure it. whose with me?

maybe we should stop the war, impeach the criminal who has done nothing but lie to us and actually make ourselves safer...cause we're not safe, not at all

You're absolutely on the right track with your observations. We hear more and more about invisible fences and more border patrol but who wants a job where you can be jailed for performing your duties. As usual, this administration goes about doing everything a$$ backwards. Where's the common sense?

I think that Bush is doing a very poor job of leading this country in the path it should go in this regard.

This is another example of the political class acting in their own best interest when their interests clearly do not represent the will of the people.

Don't fear Bush...or Hillary...republican or democrat.

Fear all those that make up the political class in this country that seek to enhance and increase their own power through increasing the power of the federal government.

Of course 99.9% of the entire Washington crowd fall into the category of the political class.

It is time that both democrats and republicans break ranks with these two parties as being the failures they are and seek out and vote for people that will lead with integrity in the direction of the people they represent.

You won't find many in either party that would meet that criteria.

I don't think you'll get any argument that the border situation is very important. I think the president and his administration also realize this. The problem is with the liberals aka Democrats, they keep blocking anything and everything presented as an idea to resolve the issue so they can appease the illegals in hopes of gaining their votes and the votes of their relatives who are here legally. The president tried to meet them half way by offering a plan that would allow amnesty for those already here if they signed the required immigration papers. The liberals blocked that too. So go tell your story to your liberal senator and congressman and let them know your not happy with their choices and to start doing whats right for the country instead of whats right for their pockets.

What exactly? Not a damned Thing except taking our money under false pretenses! That was evidenced in yesterday's newspapers wherein it was reported that there is 623,292 illegal immigrant fugitive, and growing, backlog. That means that in addition to the 11-20 million illegal immigrants roaming the country free as birds to do their dirty work, we have 623,292 convicted fugitives roaming free and the government doesn't even know the whereabouts of most of them. We know where at least one is -- Elvira Arellano is holed up in the Adelberto United Methodist Church in Chicago and has been for almost a year. The $204 million allocated to the 52 fugitive operations teams is certainly not being used effectively. Why aren't our local, state, and federal police deputized to apprehend, detain, and deport illegal immigrants? Why aren't these millions of vacant buildings that are sitting around empty at taxpayer's expense being used to secure these invaders?

We citizens should have some recourse against the FBI, the CIA, Homeland Security, ICE and others who are not doing their jobs to secure our borders and ensure that illegal immigrants are not allowed to continue breaking our laws and having babies on US soil to facilitate their takeover aspirations.

If you don't believe children are being recruited to do the dirty work of their parents, look up the recent news reports about the four year old girl whose mom was a suicide bomber. The little girl watched as her mom strapped on the bombs, and the little girl was singing. The little girl considers her mom a hero and vows to be a suicide bomber herself. Children are increasingly carrying guns. Here, in the USA, sons and daughters of illegal immigrants, under the sanctuary of the church, openly vow to vote the wishes of their parents and continue with the revolution. Therefore, we need immediate action, not only at our borders but within the country to get these illegal immigrant lawbreakers and those who hire, harbor and help them, under control.

Does anyone else question the WTC first bombing and the Oklahoma City bombing and other actions and their relationships to the amnesty granted to illegal immigrants in 1986 and 1996?

Today's paper stated that the Illinois State Pension fund has a huge deficit and that over $3,000 per man woman and child living is the cost. The question is, would we have this deficit if Governor Rod Blagojevich wasn't mounting the huge giveaway campaigns to illegal immigrants -- like mortgage grants, special loans, healthcare under the all kids program which is, at best, a scam -- ask any American Citizen single mom who has a child who needs healthcare and see how much help she gets -- zero, zilch, but illegal immigrants get a free ride.

Maybe if we stopped the treason and enforced the laws, we wouldn't have such huge deficits and we wouldn't have so much crime and increasing crime at that!!!!!!!!

Oh and did you hear about the 100+ Haitians who managed to get to US soil in Florida? Obviously, they aren't likely to be deported according to the news. Why didn't our coast guard stop them before they got here? They would have been allowed to come ashore without so much as a by your leave, if the alert citizen hadn't reported them. Then the law had no choice but to respond but with how much truthful intent to prosecute?

Here we go again with George W. Bush and his manufacturing of crises. Isn't it convenient that the House and Senate want to limit the funding for the Iraq war and since Bush can't go into Iran without serious questions from our government, the Brits become the scapegoats? Don't you all see that this is Bush's revenge against the American people and our legislature for trying to limit the tyrant's power? If the Brits attack Iran, then because the Brits helped the US in Iraq, we would be obligated to help them in Iran. Sure smells fishy to me. Who agrees that the only way we're going to get our borders under control is to impeach Bush and his cabinet and his Attorney General and then curtail all government funding pending specific performance of their duties?

our president has left our border wide open and should be held responsible for this. I think if we plant landmines and post the natl guard along the border with shoot to kill orders , give the border patrol apaches and humvees with m-60s it would solve border incursions and a few of those new airbus a380 cargo variants could handle deportations in a year or so.

A domestic issue? GWB has about as much affinity for America as Benedict Arnold. He is merely a demagogue who has a facade of patriotism during his state of the union which quickly evaporates in the form of trade deals and finance laws that harm the American worker, guest-worker programs, a huge debt incurred to rebuild *another* country, and a neglect for the domestic issues, which he refers to as "isolationism" and a "state issue". To secure the border, the individual states are going to have to deploy national guardsmen and build massive detention centers at their expense.

Of course there is no fear being spewing, there is truth about the situation,

But basicly the administration is not doing anything because neither party wants to upset the Mexican American voters. The illegal voting block is very strong.

And at this point and time the "rednecks" are doing more than anyone else is.

the bush administration is diverting a lot of army reserves to the border, and they are also drawing up plans to build a 20 foot high wall a long the whole Mexican-Us border.

but the liberals are ed cause they like having our taxes pay for illegal immigrant's welfare checks.

What has ANY administration done? Answer, nothing, because they ALL(both sides of the aisle) are rich and yet still want illegal labor that will cost them less than minimum wage. ALL of them.

NOT ENOUGH
If there is any reason to impeach George Bush, his refusal to secure the borders is IT!
