I have read that in some cases of people having multiple personalities, that when asked to bring out one of the personalities, their eye color changed. And also medical problems came into existance, when in the other personality, they weren't present. If their problem is indeed mental, and they beleive that they 100% have the characteristics of this other person, should this lead us to beleive that anything can be changed, even physical appearance, by only our minds? Shouldn't normal healthy people be able to tap into this power as well?

This is a very interesting insight. We should look to this phenomenon and study it more because yes, if it can be done by multiples, it can be done by anyone. How are they accessing this part of their mind? How can others do this?
I have read about this in medical journals - how the eyeglass prescription changed, medical conditions have come and gone, allergies changed, etc.
Very interesting.
In the book The Secret, the author talks about how she continuously gave herself the message that she could eat anything and would go back to her original weight of like 117. She was 143. Sure enough, by giving herself that message repeatedly and really FEELING it, she was able to go back to 117.
The mind is truly amazing!

I would be skeptical of the information you received from that source. I'm educated on mental health, and none of those stories cited sound legitimate to me. The disorder is often sensationalized in the media and in fiction, but is very rare in reality and I have NEVER heard of actual physical changes, such as eye color, etc.
Other medical symptoms could change, but that would be if the symptoms were psychologically based to begin with.

I read your article and I would need to see another possibly more reputable site mention this. I don't believe changing a person's eye color or allergies is possible. I have also read in some Medical literatue that Multiple personality disorder is no longer considered a disease but is a symptom of other mental illness such as schizophrenia and depression.

Well, the problem with people who have multiple personalities is that they can't choose or pick when they want to have which personality. There brains just turn on to that specific personality whenever it wants to. Thats why these people have such difficult times dealing with others. Its a very sad disease, changing eye color happens to us all. Most peoples eyes change colors anyways when they get mad, excited or sad.

I could see that happening in people with hazel eyes. But no others. Because our eyes are incapable of changing colors. They may appear to be different shades with certain clothing, but they never actually change.

it's called mind-over-matter. anythings possible...we only use 10 % of our brain and our brain is quite vast. Imagine if we used more what we could accomplish?
NEwho, speaking of eye coloring. My eye color changes depending on my mood. Green for happy, blue for mad, green/blue gray for sad. Seriously, I'm not joking...ppl have commented it before.
