If not, then why did they break up?

No, there were management issues. The real reason is, and no one likes to admit this cause they were so fabulous together, they all wanted (as do all bands at one point in time) to see what a solo career would be like.

I bet had Lennon not been murdered, they would have gotten back together.

If only.....

May be she was a little responsible. Not directly, but rather indirectly, by showing alternatives and new interests to John. As you know, she introduced John to world of the fine art and bohema. He was ready to jump into something new anyways.

There are conspiracy theories that John Lennon was murdered because of his involvement with activist and extreme left wing in New York. He was on the watch list. I think Yoko influenced John to be part of it, specifically to come to New York in search of Yoko's daughter taken by Yoko's previous man. It makes her indirectly responsible of his murder as well… Just a theory.

I don't believe so, but they were all going their separate ways and fighting about stupid things all the time. And John wanted to collaberate with her because he loved making music with her, but she wasn't the Beatles. Shes Yoko; and there were problems with her constantly around when they were practicing and doing things like this, she was a distraction for John, and I think he just took offense to it, because he loved her so much.

why does any band break up? they had been producing music for a while, got rich and famous, and all wanted to go their different ways.
Yoko didnt have any more to do with breaking them up than any other number of reasons...people just wanted a scapegoat for their fav band breaking up and lets face it: no one likes Yoko

no, people just say that so they can take out their anger on her since the band did break up.
they broke up for the same reasons any other band does, they just wanted to move on with thier life. do new things. such as making their solo albums.
