I had to do that.

It's all about three things, hard work (don't be afraid of working 60-80 hours a week); education (get back into school and train for a new career and life) and saving money (stop spending money on anything that isn't a 'need' ... no 'wants', at all, ever).

It took me ten years to get it all back, but I'm in a far better place today than I was before.

It's a lot easier than you think actually. I did it about 3 years ago, and it was the best possible thing that could have happened to me.
Step 1 - Move away from your home state...far away. You live in Cali? Off to Illinois!
Step 2 - Get a new phone number/email address/etc. Tell noone.
Step 3 - Be prepared to feel very alone for a little while. I'd say it was about 6 months until I felt I had firends in my life that I could really trust.
Step 4 - Get a pet. Makes step 3 a little easier.

Voila! A whole new life for you to work with. Make with it what you will, but if you're gonna go through all that mess, make it worth it.

visit local thrift stores for furniture or check out free web sites for freebies. Join a local singles group for support and have faith in yourself. Starting over is never easy so take it as a learning experience and grow from there!

You don't, you have one chance. If you blow it you'll never be able to start "your" life over again.

Get rid of everything you own, including all cash. Do you need an address where to send it?
