everthing i have read says that by now my uterus is too large to remain in my pelvis and should be felt just above the pubic bone. i feel absolutely NOTHING, except mushy stomach. to add to my worry this is my third pregnancy and i am very small, only 110 pounds which should make it even more obvious. i did just hear a very healthy heartbeart at 11 wks exactly, so i really don't think its miscarriage, but i'm freakin anyway. can anyone relate or do u know y this might be?

I weighed 105 with one pregnancy and 115 with the other... I didn't feel pressure from the uterus on my pubic bone until I was atleast 20 weeks along.

You'll feel it at some point. Your baby is healthy so far and you can hear a heartbeat. At 12 wks it can be tough to feel the uterus on your own. Your doctor should be able to feel it though. In the next month or two you will grow a lot (your uterus will anyway); by 16 to 20 weeks along you will definately know where it is because you will gradually feel something like a ball above your pelvic bone if you lie on your stomache. It's hard to be patient when you're pregnant!

It is extremely hard for an "untrained" hand to feel the utuerus externally. If you notice in your upcoming exams, your OB/GYN applies a good amount of pressure and feels in several areas. Do not panic because you can not feel it yourself. If you are a small framed person (sounds like you are at 110 lbs) your progress will not be exactly comparable with the "average" pregnant woman. Don't stress over it, I'm sure everything is fine.

Don't freak out, you wouldn't know your uterus if it walked up to you and shook your hand.
Most women are so used to it just sitting there that we don't even notice it growing, and in the first trimester it's not growing very quickly.
It's there, you just can't feel it!
