My friend from California made me a CD of American bands we don't have here in the UK, and I want to make her one of UK bands you can't hear in the USA.

I'm not sure which British bands have released stuff in America and I can't ask her because it's a surprise for her birthday. So can you please tell me which of these British singers/bands you never here over there?

Coldplay
Arctic Monkeys
KT Tunstall
Bloc Party
Oasis
Blur
McFly (the british boyband NOT the american group)
Feeder
Fat Boy Slim
Gorillaz
Hard-Fi
Lili Allen
The Ordinary Boys
Razorlight
Snow Patrol
Supergrass
Toploader (they only released 1 single I think, called dancing in the moonlight)
Travis
The Verve

Thankyou!!!

She's 16, so if any of this music is pretty obscure in America, I don't think she'll have heard it.

The only ones I've not heard of are Lili Allen, The Ordinary Boys and Toploader.

All the others are pretty known, I think. Of course, my main music choice is britrock, so maybe I'm biased.

ETA: People! C'mon! Travis was pretty big for a while here, in the early 00s. Give a little search for their music, I'm sure you'd recognize it.

And KT Tunstall is the one that bombarded the US with that annoying and ugly "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree."

Hello, people, we've all heard Blur! If you ever go to a major sporting event they always play Song 2, which most people think of as the Woo-Hoo song.
I personally am not familiar (at least by name) with Artic Monkeys, KT Tunstall, Bloc Party, McFly, Feeder, Hard-Fi, Lili Allen, The Ordinary Boys, Razorlight, Toploader and Travis. Supergrass's We're Alright is currently heard in a TV commercial for Orlando, FL.
How about including some The Good The Bad and The Queen on your CD? I don't think they've really caught on here yet other than with the Damon Albarn fans.

The only one I've not heard on the radio over here ( the US ) is Toploader, but that is because they did only have one hit.

I think the Ordinary Boys get played very little, but everyone else you can hear on the radio daily.
