We have waited three weeks, that was closing. I found out that they are going to try and get a quick deed. What is the difference and how long does it generally take to get a deed? Our agent says we will have to just relax and wait. Not something I am good at. HELP!

Does it make any difference that it was a foreclosure?

In a normal sale it takes a few days to a week for the paper work to get filed and recorded at the county land record office. With a foreclosure I am sure there is more "red tape" and may take longer to get all the appropriate signatures and legal requirements met.

Has your agent told you what the hangup is? Ask him to check with the closing attorney and find out. Or, call the closing attorney yourself - when you pay for service then expect and demand you get what you paid for.

The deed should have been recorded in your name at the time of closing, this may just be the delay in getting the original recorded document to you...

There may have been a problem with the title to the property, in which case you can check with the title insurance company - you should have their contact info in your paperwork.

Ask your agent for the details.

In a few instances the identify businesses wait and decide on up the identify tool as quickly as it's recorded. You are not looking for the common if misplaced, what issues is what's recorded within the county the estate is placed in. If you are not able to get delight from the identify corporation or the agent that dealt with the transaction you'll be able to name the county assessors workplace and they are going to furnish you with a replica of the recorded tool.
