I just love 80's scary movies, they are way better than todays i believe. and my favorite Nightmare is # 1 of course. I just love that movie, and of course it doesn't have cool effects like the ones today have but i love it a lot anyway!!!!!!!!!! :)

the best one is #1 and #3 and to me the one that really sucked, was # 2!! but yea they have many errors, but I really like them above all 80's movies..... :)

Oh 80's horror, how I miss you. A Nightmare On Elm Street is my favorite horror series. Growing up in the 80's I don't think there was a kid in my school who didn't know who Freddy Kruger was. And I used to have discussion on who would win in a fight between Freddy and Jason with my friends.
My favorite of ther series was the original. A Nightmare On Elm Street.
Here's how I rate the series best to worst.
A Nightmare On Elm Street
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Wes Craven's A New Nightmare
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Chils
A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare
If you count Freddy v.s Jason as part of the series, for me it falls in between New Nightmare and Dream Master.

I agree that #1 and #3 were the best and that #2 really sucked, although Grady was cute! I did really get into #4 The Dream Master and #5 the Dream Child too. I had wished they kept the character Alice going in Freddy's Dead the Final Nightmare, instead of the way it was made. All in all, Freddy's the best.
Did you know that reruns of the TV Show Freddy's Nightmares are back in syndication on a channel called Chiller? I have it TiVOed!

Love Nightmare on Elm Street! I have the box set on DVD! They're all great in an 80's horror flick kind of way. I have an extra special place in my heart for the 2nd one since it was the first one I saw.

My favorite ones are 1 and 3. I've got the box set and watch them all the time!!
I still think Freddy Kruger is the scariest thing out there!! He's well freakier than Jason Vorhees or Michael Myers.

I loved every one of those movies! I liked the last one and the first one. I also liked Pet cemetary. The Chucky movies, etc. I am an 80's movie chick too.

I luv em all i especially fav is 1! I get nightmares and can't sleep 4 about a week after but it's well worth it!

only the first one, they are all down hill after that. the best scary movies are Halloween 1 and 2.

I've seen them all and I'm going to say number one is the best..The first one usually ALWAYS is the best lol! I also love 80's horror flicks!
