You're kidding, right? Lee Atwater was the king of personal destruction, and Karl Rove has inherited his crown. After the 10-year campaign against Clinton, Bush's hits on McCain during the primaries (his mental health was questionable, he had an illegitimate black baby), the dirty tricks Rove is so famous for, starting back in Texas, and even today the way Rush and other wrong-wingers are trying to destroy John Edwards because he's continuing to campaign, this is the one area where the right wins the undisputed championship.

The American political parties. Just look at any modern Congressional, Presidential, Mayoral, Governor or other pseudo-public servant/representative race.
The problem with the question is you allege there is a difference in the political parties. There isn't. The ideology is a tad different, in that Democraps will give you lubrication before raping the citizenry, while Repukelicans will charge money after raping the citizens.

I would have to go with republicans. I think the fact that there is a term called "being swift boated" explains it all. Also, if you notice the first answer, he attacks liberals without giving examples of how they actually use personal destruction. That itself is an example.

Hard to say; are you talking about politicians themselves or the idiots posting nasty nonsense on Yahoo?
The politicians themselves use it pretty much equally; it's a standard way to discredit your opponent.
The folks on Yahoo... well, I'd have to say that people calling themselves "conservatives" (though I think they're extremists, not representative of conservatives as a whole) do it far more than people calling themselves liberals. Liberals can bash Bush using stuff he's actually done. There is far more "She's ugly," "She's a lesbian," "He's a terrorist" stuff coming from the right than the left.

properly my sister seems to consider you. in my opinion i imagine it can be political suicide for John McCain and Gov. Palin. no longer purely could John McCain lose yet Gov. Palin could go back to Alaska as a quitter. Then blaming social conservatives could reason large Republican loses for Congress. No John McCain made this mattress. he's gonna could lie in it!

Republicans. Leave it to them to not only delve into Clinton's sex life, but to actually try to impeach him for refusing to tell the truth about that "issue". PFO: the "liberals" are not a political party, at least not in the US.

politics of personal destruction - i would guess they both contribute to that - namely the "war" on drugs and the billions of dollars spent and millions of lives lost due to the mafia and gang run drug outfits.

I would say liberals, because I don't see them coming up with any plans or solutions on nearly any topics, except their socialist agendas. Basically, there platform is "we're not as bad as these Republicans".
