Last I heard, the proposed trade was something like this:
Redskins get: Lance Briggs, Bears' 2006 1st round pick
Bears get: Redskins' 2006 1st round pick.
So essentially, the Bears would lose a great linebacker, but they would get a great draft spot (number 6, I think)
But again, that's not official yet.

Apparently Lance Briggs talked with some of the Redskins ownership and that they have considered trading their draft pick to the Bears for him.
Its a shame; I always liked Briggs, too bad he had to run his mouth too much.

Im a huge Bears fan too. I love Lance Briggs and I wish he would stay here, but if he doesnt want to, then youve got to get rid of him and do make him happy. I say it would be a great move to get a player who doesnt want to play for you off your hands and pick up Ted Ginn Jr. from Ohio State with the 6th pick. He is fast as lightining and can burn just about any cornerback you throw at him. He is also an amazing Kick/Punt Returner, but we dont need one of those anytime soon, because of #23. Over time, he could be our #1 receiver, just like he was at Ohio State.

Skins(6th pick) and bears(31st) will swap first round pick for lance briggs and other draft picks. Its just a rumore. skins didnt talk the bears about it. its word on the street.as a bears fan i want them to do it. so they get one texas cb ross or get a LB to replace briggs with. Its a win win situation for both.

yeah the trade has not happened yet, but lance briggs stated earlier today that if he doesn't get traded then he isn't playing 10 games of the season

I guess he feels he's not getting what he's worth! If he doesn't want to be here (chicago) let hope the Bears can get good player or draft choice (I think washington offered a first round draft pick)

the trade is this: a swap in 1st round picks. the bears would get the 6th overall pick in the draft and the redskins would get the 31st overall pick in the draft.

All they are really doing for right now is talking about it. The redskins are more interested in this trade than the bears are. The bears are gay.
