The WRX is around 24 grand, which my dad said he would pay for, but i have had my eye on the STI(around 33 grand) for a while. Is it worth to give my dad the 9000 and get the STI or is the WRX not so bad itself? Any other car suggestions??

I have the WRX and i perfectly happy with it, it can easy beat 90-95% of the cars on the road any day. If you have the extra money laying around then you could pay 9000$ for 70 more house power or you prolly get more out of just buying kits. Plus the STI is a little to Guacky, and more appeasing to police officers.

You can get a Suburu WRX Tuner Edition. There are a few differences between it and the STI. The main one is that the TE has less boost. My friend bought the TE and with the extra cash he would have paid for the STI he made his TE way faster than the STI. It just depends on if you would put the money into it. As far as the difference between the regular WRX and STI go, theres a world of difference and it would be best to go with the STI.

If you get the WRX, you will always end up wanting the STI, follow your heart, but don't forget the potential for bigger turbo's, FMIC's and 4 bar FPR's as well as an aggressive fuel map on the ECU to match the turbo's delivery zone.

WRX are good for daily needs and good performance, but STI is good for daily needs and aggresive performance. just save 9000. The whole new impreza is gonna come out next year anyway.

if you plan on modifying it the sti is the better bet due to the stronger transmission and rear diff.
