there are places called fetal photos that you can go to to see what the gender of baby is. i went at 16 weeks and found out ours. its a certified ultrasound tech who has her own office and it does cost money but you get a dvd, 3-d photos, its a great experience.

Well... The Drs office won't order an Ultrasound unless its for medical reasons. There are always clinics that will do one for you, with a price. Think the 4d Ultrasounds, etc. My Dr said they would do an Ultrasound w/o medical reason, if I wanted to pay for it out of pocket.
BUT. Here's my story that Im "not supposed to tell". I went in for my 20 week appointment, and our little peanut wasn't co-operating with us, and wouldn't let us see the gender. I left, and cried for hours (Im going to blame that on the hormones, ha!).
The next day I went in for my regular OB appt, and I asked my Dr how much it would cost to do it out of pocket. She went back to the radiology dept to check. That day it was blizzarding, at least 10" of snow (Im in Minnesota). The ultrasound techs had all of their appts canceled that afternoon, so they agreed to sneak me in to do a quick US. And, Its a GIRL! They couldnt give me any pics or anything, because then it would register in the computer... but I snuck one through the system!

You can pay out of pocket for one, rather than having your insurance foot the bill, but some clinics might not do it, and they are VERY expensive.
There is no guarantee that you'll find out at your 20 weeker either though... I was 27 weeks before I found out. My baby was not cooperative AT ALL - legs all in the way. I was lucky in that respect because we were having tons of ultrasounds because I was a high risk pregnancy...

You can always get an ultrasound at another place, but you might have to pay for it. And before you can get that ultrasound, they might still ask for your doctor's approval. My fiance and I wanted one after finding out the gender, but realized that the money would be better spent on the baby's things instead of a "keepsake ultrasound."

Well I had mine at 20 weeks and they were not sure on the sex. I called around to find out prices (without a doctor's note insureance will not cover it) I found one for $180 and made the appointment myself, when I went in I told them the circumstances and that I would rather them not send the results to my midwife because I had already had one with them. They said they understood and now I know that he is forsure a boy! Since I was only having one, I knew it would not hurt to have one more.

If you get 2 ultrasounds, you're lucky! I only got one! (at 19 wks.) I'd love another one, but i'd have to pay out of pocket. I would suggest a 4d ultrasound, but i just looked into those for myself, and they don't do them until you are at least 25 weeks along! Unfortunately, it sounds as if you may have to bite the bullet and wait! :)

In texas, there was a healthy baby and child seminar and they offered free sonograms and that's how I found out the sex of the baby. You can try looking for one of those near you live or a 3d or 4d ultrasound, but I think they're expensive.

Yes there is a way, look in the phonebook and try to find a crisis pregnancy center around you somewhere, although you might not be in one. I work at one around kansas city mo, and we do FREE ultrasounds to anyone, just say that you need the due date, dont say anything about the sex of the baby until you are on the table, thats the trick,

Yes you can but you have to pay for it. We have done it using the 4D ultrasound to determine our baby's gender cause the first ultrasound could not see our baby's gender. We paid $99.00 for ours and it includes a 30 minutes DVD and gift package from Similac so it's worth it. Here are some 4D ultrasound samples from youtube.

Just search online for 4D utrasound available in your area.
Good Luck!

Go to a 4D clinic and get another ultrasound there. Its better quality and you won't be risking anything fraudulent.
You have to pay out of pocket but it is worth it
