I have just gone through the interview process w/ a new company and I have been hired. I am pretty sure that I am pregant it would only be about 5 weeks. Should and could I get in trouble if I take the job and don't tell them that I am pregant????

you can't get in trouble for not telling them. and they can't NOT hire you if you are pregnant.
But - think about this. . . are you planning on going back to work after the baby is born?
if you will want to stay at home, maybe you should let someone else have the job. otherwise they will be paying to train you and someone to replace you. and that may not look good on your resume.
if you are going to go back to work, then take the job. but, let them ( i suggest right after the beginning of your 2nd trimester - 12/14 weeks) know you are pregnant & will need time off but are coming back.
telling everyone before this time is bad luck, after all.... not all pregnancies make it that far. and it's twice as hard to deal with a tragedy if you have to rehash it to 10 people a day. Trust me.

But, good luck to you, the baby, and the job. best wishes.

(assuming that you're in the USA)

You should take the job. ESPECIALLY if there is a health insurance benefit. Pregnancy is expensive! A difficult pregnancy is even MORE expensive. They can't fire you for being pregnant. You also would be eligible for a maternity leave with pay. Just be honest with your employer (once they officially become your employer) about your intention to return to work after your maternity leave.

their insurance probably wont cover the ob-gyn , you should not be discriminated against , otherwise , for being pregnant .
