I'd be happy if the Republicans had anyone less unelectable than Hillary and Obama to put out there.
Haley Barbour (Mississippi's Governor) has an impressive resume but doesn't appear to be interested in the presidency (or can't raise the funds to mount a serious campaign).
Current Louisiana Congressman Bobby Jindal is probably the GOP's most exciting prospect at this point, but unfortunately he won't be ready until 2016. Jindal has announced his intentions to run for Governor of Louisiana (election Fall 2007). Jindal will be a legitimate candidate by the time his two terms as Governor are completed (in 2015), and could very well become America's first non-caucasian President (Jindal is Indian-American).
Unfortunately, the GOP faces the same dilemma the Dems are in for 2008. Unless the RNC finds out about this Barbour guy and backs him financially, I would be surprised if anyone mentioned thusfar can put away a Hillary or an Obama without fight.

What til the mud starts flying next year, Hillary can't be tarred any worse than she already is and Obama will appear like a breath of fresh air to most voters, Don't rule Edwards out just yet either, when the left is done showing what a bunch of flip flopper's and morally bankrupt cast of characters the right is running you'll be lucky if your town has a republican dog catcher

Positively !
I for one will love what happens when the public becomes aware of the fact that they are BOTH nothing more than MARXISTS thinly vailed as the typical member of the Liberal Base.

That's funny, considering you have a liberal leading the Republican ticket. So you are admitting that Obama and Hillary are better options than Guliani? I agree.
