wow he is god among men, I love this man, he is truly the best country singer of all time, he revolutionized the industry, I was not into country when he was touring so sadly I never got to see one of his shows, but now I can truly appreciate his music ive seen his concerts on tv they look like quite the expereince he likes to keep it upbeat, His music is inspiring, feel-good music, some sad songs about love and life (see the amazing hit "The Dance" one of the greatest songs of all time, so well written) Anyways garth is my favorite, He had a divorce, which shows he is human, he did cheat on his wife, but thats a whole new perspective of him, and I think he kind of went wacko with his whole rocker persona "Chris Gaines" but it shows he creativity and helps him draw from those experiences, which makes him an even better musician, Garth Is an Innovater and a genious, we must appreciate!!

Garth was a good songwriter/musician and a great live performer. He let his ego get in the way of his art and forgot about the fans who put him where he was. He was a crossover success so his music spoke to a wide audience. Not sure I think highly of him as a person, but he's hard to beat as a performer.

I haven't seen him live, but I have a few of his CDs, and two of my favorite songs of his are on his Double Live album - "The Thunder Rolls" and "Friends in Low Places" - both the extended versions.
