The best way Is Plyometrics aka Box Jumps. But before you do that You should have a fundemental understandig of that concept. Aim for explosive reaction off the ground. It dosent matter if can only do one explosivley. Over time you will be able to do more. Dont compromise form and explosivness so you can do more. 15 mins of these typ of ploy excersice will have you out jumping everyone in no time. its all about science!

From 3 previous questions:

"My coach in high school used to have us jump rope to increase our verticals. Also, he made us run hills and bleachers on our toes. It burns like hell but definitely helps alot.

I also used to do 4 sets of 100 small jumps reaching to touch a high door way. That also helped. I am about 5'9 and I could almost stuff a full size basketball when I reached senior year of high school."

Squats are key, same with leg weights. Try playing with ankle weights on for a month or so and then take them off and play. Sounds funny but you will notice a significant increase in stamina and vertical leap.
