My friend has noisy neighbours who fight all the time, the thing is she lives in a nice area everyone who lives there wants this couple out for disturbing the peace.... she is even thinking of moving herself just to get away.... do you think she should be the one to move?

no she shouldn't have to move because she has uncivilized neighbors. if they get too loud she should call the cops and see what happens from there

No, it would be a shame to move just because of two people. Every time the couple disturbs the peace, someone should call the police and report them. Fighting is fine as long as it is kept between the combatants. When it spreads out to the neighborhood, that is not fine. Maybe if the cops knock on their door enought times, they will get the message and either move of fight more quietly.

Truth is if they own the home there is no way of "getting the other couple to leave" other than calling the cops there is nothing your friend can do about it; may be they will get the message may be they won't. But at this point it is up to the cops to deal with and possibly fine. But I have never heard of anyone being jailed or fined for this behavior (even repeat offenders) If she wants to move just keep in mind she won't know her new neighbors either until it's too late.

All the neighbors should call the cops and complain. They will get lots of fines for disturbing the peace and will maybe get the hint. Hope there's no dimestic violence involved!! Also if they are renters, everyone should complain to their landlord, they will probably get evicted and that would make everyones lives more peaceful!! She shouldn't have to move but sometimes its easier remove yourself from a situation than to stay there and be miserable!!

Call the cops. There has to be a noise ordinance that prohibits this kind of behavior. Cops especially like to keep the peace in nice neighborhoods.

NO! Her neighbors need to be more considerate of their neighbors. She should not feel the least bit guilty for calling the cops on them when they get out of hand!

Tell your friend to call the cops on them everytime there's a disturbance. That might help.
