Can anyone recommend a good paralegal that can create contracts for my corporation in CA? I need some semi-complicated forms and contracts by Aug.I have notes on what I need them to say, but not being a lawyer, I need someone to make them legally binding. How do you charge for this service, and if my lawyer goes over them and needs to small make changes, will you charge me an additional cost?

I have never used a paralegal before but I understand it is less expensive than going directly to a corperate lawyer. Tips from those who have used one before are also appreciated!

A paralegal may not engage in the practice of law, and drawing up those contracts would be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law.

To protect yourself and your company, you need to have a California attorney draw the contracts. It is true that the attorney may employ one or more paralegals, but a paralegal works only under the direct supervision of a licensed attorney, who is responsible for the work product.

For a referral to an attorney, contact your state or local bar association.
