Floor time is really important for babies. have u tried maybe using gates to keep the dogs out of a certain room to let your baby play? i've never used a walker but my friend has used a walker with all 3 of her kids and they seem fine. u could ask your doctor about it.

Maybe you need to block off a certain room just for the baby. Crawling is a part of development for a child. They need to get the hang of crawling before they walk. My son recently turned 11 months. He started crawling around 7 months and now he is walking. I still use the walker from time to time. He now knows how to get out of his walker. How? He CRAWLS right out of it. So yes feel free to give your baby floor time it will help him in the long run.

I've not heard good things about walkers.... generally I don't like anything that forces the baby into certain positions if you see what I mean.

Have you tried getting a travel cot or playpen? That way your baby can move around in safety, without danger from the dogs or dog hairs. I have a baby and a dog in my home, as well as three cats. I only put my daughter out on the rug straight after vaccuuming every day, and for that time I put the dog in another room and play with her. She enjoys tummy time and rolling about, I think it's important for her to have freedom of movement. My animals are not allowed upstairs so anywhere upstairs is safe for her to play without me having to watch her every second. Try having one room where your dogs aren't allowed - preferably the baby's room, and then he should be able to have his tummy time and floor freedom!

Good luck with your little boy!

Take you time and have some patience. One of my granddaughters went from not being able to crawl (she rolled everywhere) to speed crawling. She was abut 9-10 months at the time. Now she runs everywhere.
Let him crawl in a room where the dogs don't roam around. Perhaps a bedroom or just keep the pets outside for a while. Give your son the priorities not the dogs.

put the baby on the floor and put a child gate up to the door way so the dog cant get to him because if you dont put him on the floor he will never crawl or learn to stand and take small steps because my son dont even like his walker so he always on the floor crawling around and playing with his toys

He needs to be on the floor.

Keep the dogs out and spread a big blanket down if you are worried about germs.

My babys have been on the floor since they were 3 months. Doing great :)

All my kids loved their walkers my current 9mth goes crazy in it--but crawling is very important in a child development so encourage him to crawl when ever possible!

why not gate off a section of the house for your baby he should take priority not the dogs it's really important for babies to get "tummy time" and crawling is an important milestone although some children go straight to walking it's real important you let him have the opportunity to play on his tummy

Why don't you put your dogs outside. It's essential that your baby goes through the stages of development. It's sorta like, what's more important, your dogs or your baby? Just my opinion, I'm not trying to be rude but that's kinda a no brainer. **www.happysahm.com**

Maybe it is time to consider putting the livestock outside ,
So the human infant can develop in the house that should make him a priority .
