There are many ways to get money. You can become a player killer and sell the items you get off your kills, or you could train one of the resource gathering skills (fishing, mining, woodcutting) and sell what you get. Or you could spend some time collecting items like cowhides or flax, since they are extremly easy to get and sell.
A more complex way of getting money that I do is to mine a bunch of coal and iron, make some steel bars then smith steel plates, and high alch all of them, I like it because its fairly quick and easy, gains me alot of money and xp, and it doesn't involve trading with other players.

-One of the most easiest ways is doing quests.
-In the Barbarian Village, in the center, walk down into the one rock, there is a maze, if you finish the maze you get 1k, I'm pretty sure.
-Kill cows,take their cowhides, which sell for 200gp-350gp.
I made 44k off of these 3 easy tips.
I beat every free members quest except Dragon Slayer.
I'm a level 37 or 38 (It's been a long time since I played.)

You sound like most of your levels are in combat, and combat doesn't pay very well until you're high level or are a member.
Pick one job to get good at, and work at it until you can earn money from the stuff you get. I usually suggest woodcutting for members, and coal mining for non-members, although you could do well with fishing if you prefer that.

Actually heres a little bit of a secret, any skill you get will get you a lot of cash. Theres just no get-rich-quick schemes. All of them will require a lot of work but the payment is just.
A personal fav. I found was woodcutting. Yews are worth a lot of cash with the right buyers.

buy a law or 2 for about 325 each and sell em in f2p worlds. with that $$ buy more laws. u could also mine ess to get some starter $$. i did that after getting scammed out of all that i had and have about 500k now

It depends on what you are best with. When I use to play, I Minned and Smithed Addy full. Then sell them for loads.
