I would guess studying astrophysics would probably be a good idea.

You must get a Ph.D. in history to become a history professor at a university. Some people who only have a master's degree do teach lower-level courses but they do not have full-time, tenure-track positions.
You do not have to get a master's degree before entering a Ph.D program. Often, students can get the master's during the Ph.D. program or even stop at that point if they don't want to continue.
A degree is education is not required to teach at the university level (except in the field of education, of course) and would not even be considered desirable.

The obvious answer is that you ought to major in History.
If you want to be a professor, you should get a PhD in History. You should go to the best History program that you can get into. In general -- the best universities have the best History programs. That means the Ivy League schools, the Ivy Equivalents (Duke, Stanford, etc), the best State Unversities (Berkeley, Michiganm Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, UNC, etc).
US News ranks Yale, Princeton and Berkeley at the top.

You don't need to minor or double major in education.
What you want to do is major in History. I would minor in English.
Then get your masters degree in History. Once you have a master's you can get your Ph.D and you can teach. Sure a BA in education can be beneficial, but not exactly at the University level. You should talk to one of your own history professors to find out what they did to get to the teaching level.
I think it would be beneficial to have the education BA because you may want to teach at the HS level while getting your masters/Ph.D and then you'll have experience teaching and be more likely to get hired.

History with a minor in Education. Or vice versa.
You'll need both.
