Two days ago I was able to get on the web. I DO have a wireless connection, so that's not the problem. It's just when I try to access the home page, or any other website, it says that it can't display the page. The web address are typed in correctly. I deleted all my history and browsing the other night... could I have accidentally deleted something that could have effected the internet? Plus, to make matters worse, it's a work computer and I don't want to call the IT guys telling them I broke it. Can anyone help?

It may something as simple as unplugging the wireless router, and re-plugging it in. I get this alot at my house with my laptop. Is it possible that you might have stumbled upon a virus while you were connected to the wireless internet? One time my BF was looking at an "adult" site and picked up something nasty. Time-Warner suspended our service until I cleaned up the computer. That's worst case senario, though.... I don't think you broke it. But if worse comes to worse, just ask one of the IT guys to take a look at it for you.

Power off your computer, then power off your cable or DSL modem for 30 seconds.

Power on your modem and wait for 2 minutes until the lights stabilize. Then start your laptop normally.

Good Luck

Make sure there are no cell phones or anything of the like turned on near your laptop.
