theres a story of a little girl who tells her parents she wants a pet elephant, and of course is refused, so she says ok giraffe. And again refused...etc. She asks for horse, tiger, snake... finally asks for a puppy and they say yes.
she says ohh good. I wanted a puppy from the beginning, but you wouldn't have given it to me if asked straight out.
Perhaps in light of that story i would threaten them with something even worse - find really shocking people to bring home, and then bring someone who i really wanted who in comparison seems really nice and safe, and they will be relieved instead of worried.

well on a certain level that actually makes sense. race usually means a different culture so does ethincity, and religion can have major repercussions within a relationship. other than a clash of values there is no other reason to not date because you like someone

race or ethnicity are no biggie, i think we are out of that stone age mindset...but the religio thing is a really huge thing...yeah at first its all cute and soemthing to talk about...but trust me, if both people are rather religious, and of different religions, there are going to be a lot of futile arguements over whos religion is right....
there is a reason 'catholics and protestants' and 'jews and muslims' literally kill each other...

I would tell them that they are wrong, and that i can date anyone i want.
When you date someone, you shouldnt care about race, ethn, or religion, because those things are not what the person is all about. We are all the same, no matter what we look like or what we believe in.

I would be screwed if people believed in crap like that...being mixed in race (japanese, white, hawaiian) there goes my race and ethnicity and I believe in God so if thats a problem I would be up shyt creek without a paddle...

I'd ask him/her the reason why I shouldn't do so. But if you would really intend to date someone regardless of those factors, what I would do is to listen to his/her opinion and reply: "Okay" and date people anyway.

Well if they told me the reasons for not doing that and I agreed then there would be no problem. I tend to only go after my own kind* though.
*racially, politically, religiously.

I would kindly ask them to warp into the present, and open their eyes and minds as we are all humans, with the same emotions, desires(or atleast most are!!LOL) goals, hopes, etc.
Then I'd kick em in the *** and tell them to screw
