I am a healthy 33 year old woman and the guy I've been seeing is just about to turn 30. We have been having sex for about 4 years and he has always complained about having a "low-sex" drive. He says that he is perfectly happy having sex "maybe" once a week and when we do have sex he can only do it once. To top it all off, he only lasts about ten minutes. He jokes and says "it's the best ten minutes of my life" but it's no joke for me. My question is; is it true that a man can have a low-sex drive before the age of 30? If so, is there anything I could do to improve his drive and stamina? I've asked him in the past to go and see a doctor but, of course, he refuses.

In response to some of the answers I've gotten so far: he is not bored with the sex that he's been getting. I am a healthy and imaginative female who is perfectly happy to try anything to have a good time (as long as it's not painfull to either of us). I have had some experience in the bedroom so I'm not some shrinking violet. I like to have my own orgasm and want to make sure that he has a good time too. The only complaint I've ever gotten is that I'm somewhat of a "sex-freak".

I'm 37 and once or twice a week is enough for me...ok 2-3 times is better but not crucial. When I was 30, maybe a bit more but not much. As far as only doing it once and lasting only ten minutes, I'd say that's not uncommon. I have to go down for a bit before I go inside so she is well on her way (sometimes finished) before I start. And when I'm done, I have to wait a little while to sort of reload before I am ready again. Maybe your past experience has been with some real studs.

Absolutely, many men have low testosterone but never get it tested, and many men have some form of erectile dysfunction. The number one thing he can do to improve his performance, is to exercise at least 1/2 hour, 3 times per week and get NO LESS THAN 7 hours of sleep each night.
Those two things alone can increase sex drive quite a bit.

I've found that stress is the key to my sex drive. I'm 28 and I can go about a week and not notice I havn't had sex. During this time there are just so many other things on my mind (i.e. school, work, bills, etc...) that sex doesn't register for a while at times. You may want to try being the instigator.
Also, masturbation is the key to stamia. Pass it on.
(on another note, I am highly attracted to strong women, so let me move on before I get to excited!)

My dear he isn't ill and the question is genetic and mental.
We know that sex depends from brain (nervous system) mainly and by now scientists are proving that any thing concerning sex is a genetic fact!
OK, maybe through some hormonal treatment his sexual life could improve a little bit.... just two acts in a week, probably?!
Anyway, a man able to have sexual intercourse lasting commonly 10 min. long never will be able to carry out one lasting 20 min. long then!
I realize your need, but men aren't all equal.
Evidently you forgot that the most part of marriages just end for money and for sex!

Yep it is true, some men do have low a sex drive.
10 minutes of actual penetration is better than avg.
There are treatments for male low sex drive also.
Maybe he just does not like sex or is bored with the type of sex he is getting.
You broke him!

Some men have a low need and desire for sex. Once a week is not bad.
He could improve performance, but desire is another matter

Maybe he has a low level of testostrone. There's therapy for that. Doctors can give him regular injection of male hormone. It's proven to make every guy bounce like rabbits.
