I would take a few things into consideration:

1) The surname (family/last name) of the child.

a. "Honey" is English from Old English. If the surname is English, then it already matches "Honey" so any name will do.

b. If the last name is not English, try to pick a name that sounds good with "Honey" and matches the surname. For example:

- Honey Marie Dumas (French)
- Honey Máire O'Brien (Irish)
- Honey Maria Allende (Spanish)

2) That "Honey" can be used as a nickname for the following:

a. Honor
b. Honora
c. Honore
d. Honoria

3) "Honey" could also be a good middle name with a more formal first name:

a. At school: so that the child can automatically be called say, "Mary" at school; but if she chooses may say, "I go by my 'Honey' my middle name."

b. When applying for jobs I use my first name which is very traditional and once I'm hired, let them know that I go by my middle name (a 70s nature name) to avoid potential employers not taking me seriously.

4. A middle name is a nice way to honor a family member such as a mother or grandmother or the femine form of the name of a male relative.

5. Since the middle name is a nature name, you could choose a name that has cultural or religious importance to the family.

6, Avoid names that mean already mean "honey" -- variety is good!

1. ESTI (Basque)
2. MADHU ( Indian)
3. MEADE (English)
4. Melina
5. Melisande
6. Melissa
7. Melita
8. MIELA (Esperanto)
9. Mischa
10. Pamela

7. Avoid unpleasant initials:

"Honey Ana Garcia" = equals "HAG"!!!

Are you kidding me? Honey can not be a first name. Maybe a nickname, but it sounds ridiculous as a first name. Everyone will be calling her Honeybee or Honey-ham or Sweet Honey. If you really want to name her that, then here are some middle names:

Honey Marie
Honey Jo
Honey Renee
Honey Lynn
Honey Paytin
