I just had an incident with a so-called friend. She's been treating me like crap since the company announced we're being absorbed by the parent company. I was one that got to stay, she isn't staying. She's been literally making snide comments and essentially making me feel like it's my fault. Today I've had enough. I told her that if she really was my friend, she'd not treat me like this, and furthermore if she wants to speak to me, she knows where I'm at. She stalked off. I was disgusted. I guess 4+ years of friendship mean nothing, eh?

I get that way with most people I come across who are rude and fake, that's why I don't talk to people much. I don't have time to pity everyone for their own hypocrisy, I've got my own issues to deal with!

People who act like that really aren't friends. It is sad that she'd be that way towards you; four years is a long time!

Hmm.....perhaps a drink or two is in order? ;)

My ex guy. I dated him for quite a while until at some moment we always had arguments. I always asked him why he liked me and stuff and he told me why. Then one reason i made a big mistake asking him a question and after that i never heard 'i love you'. I found out on Monday that he doesn't love me so.. I broke up with him.. He still wants me to be his friend and stuff and hopes that i see him as a true friend.. HELL! NO!!! How the hell can i be his friend when he keeps on cheating on me like fat bastard!?!?!?! GO TO HELL. Gee.. Im getting sick and tired of thinking of him.. We are done, we are done... I burned and deleted every information from him, the only thing that's there about him is my memory of him. There is no way i am going to think he is my true friend or boyfriend. No way.. He thought that cheating on me TWICE with the same person would be alright? I am so disgusted with him that i pity and HATE him.. He doesn't hate me and wishes me the best in life but.. I DO NOT LIKE HIM... Becky.. Im sorry for my ranting, i just broke up with my guy and i shouldn't use this as a soap box. I suck for that.. But yes.. That was my answer to your question.. Take care, okay? And i agree with you friends cannot treat you like crap because they really aren't then.. My guy treated me like crap and i got rid of him and i am happy! =))))

I've had that happen when I worked for Chuck E. Cheese and we bought out my old company Peter Piper. I was the one that got to go to all the store I helped open and fire the management. It wasn't my fault they didn't see it coming, but they hated me for it, like I am the reason they went bancrupt. Just becuase I was marketing, IT, sales, PR rep for the district and also a manager doesn't mean I killed the company by leaving.

Jealousy is pretty powerful. I've had people act like they hate me because I got married, for pity sake. I think you took it longer than I would have. I don't believe I'd have listened to the second remark. That is no friend. There are plenty of people out there who will treat you better.

Yep. But most of the times disgust in me leads to despise.

Yes I have been there.

Congrats on keeping your job but sorry about the friendship. I agree with you standing up for yourself. It is important to be true to yourself first. She'll calm down. If not, her loss. *hug*

It is so hard to deal with people you work with sometimes - and instances like these really prove who is a friend and who isn't. Hang in there!

Sounds familiar. You never really can tell who your "friends" are at work until something like this happens, then they show their true colors. Best of luck to you.

Aww...that stinks. I've had "work friends" that have turned in a flash as well. I keep my distance now and make friends elsewhere. It's sad and pathetic isn't it. :-(
