I am all for the environment, but when will this end, when will the banning on things end? Am I the only one that worries about the slippery slope of outright bans on things?

I don't know. But I was eating mini marshmallows the other day and the warning on the bag said something to the effect of :May cause choking. Do not eat more than one at a time." Are we thinking of the same mini marshmallows? I think it should have said CAUTION! THESE MARSHMALLOWS ARE SMALL. SOME MORON CHOKED ON THEM AND SUED US. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CHOKE - WE LOVE OUR MONEY. It would have gotten the same point across.

There are a lot of things that are banned. In many parts of the country you can't buy a drink. I have no problem with the plastic bag ban as long as the city of San Francisco gives store owners enough time to come up with a viable alternative.

I agree banning is a slipperty slope but plastic bags do not breakdown in the garage land fill. At least paper ones do. Personally, for years I have asked for paper only because I reuse them for lining the garage can.

The next big thing is organic cotton totebags for groceries. If you have a non-profit you're involved with, do this for a fundraiser at a grocery store. Seriously.

Maybe worry more about the environment instead. This is a simple change anyone can do that can make a good impact.

Why purely plastic grocery baggage? in the event that they are banned, then plastic disposable diapers ought to be additionally. on an identical time as all of us understand that plastic baggage are undesirable for our environment,if cities would desire to make a ban, then do it thoroughly. No plastic in besides allowed in the city. I purely hate whilst government tells me how I ought to stay.

I don't see the problem with this. Banning the use of plastic bags will help save the ecology, plus decrease the use of petroleum products and help reduce our dependency on imported oil.

It's a win/win situation....so what's your problem with that? How much Exxon stock do you own?
