You can use a lot of things. Here are some:
1) You can purchase a DVD or CD recordable in very low prices. They use empty DVD's and CD's and there you can store files or create music cd's and more. They can be external or internal.
2) You could also buy a USB flash disk which comes in many capacities (256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB) It's great for traveling cause it's very small. It's ideal for everyday use.
3)You can purchase an external USB hard disk which has capacities up to 400GB and maybe even more. That is if you need to save many and big files.
Floppy disks are not used anymore! I doubt if any new computers have a floppy disk drive installed.

You could use a CD, DVD, an external hard drive, or my personal favorite a flash drive. Flash drives are very inexpensive in con=mparison to the others unless you already have the CD burner. Flash drives are the easiest to use though so long as youc computer has a USB port on it.
