I am 39 weeks along, I've had menstrual/back cramping for almost a week now, and it has gotten more intense and regular since it started.

This morning it was really bad, and it felt as though it was one big cramp that never went away. It was impossible to time because it didn't feel like it ended. When I called the Dr. they said to come in and get checked. I haven't been checked yet to see if I've been dilated, and I was going to on my next appt. which was scheduled in two days.

After the bad cramping this morning, it went away and I haven't felt anything for the passed 2 hours. Should I keep my appt. and still go in today? Or just wait 2 more days until my normal appt.?

I've had 3 kids...If you start cramping again pretty bad I would got the the ER. That way you'd at least be able to know if your in labor or not. The same thing happened to my sister but her water had broken and she didn't know it. When she went to the dr's a day or 2 later...the dr. told her water had broken and to go the the ER right away. She came close to getting an infection. I would definately go to the ER, or at least call your dr office...I wouldn't wait 2 days for your appt, especially since you've been feeling this for a while.

I would go to your doctor now instead of waiting. You might end up being one of the women that has their baby on the freeway on the way to the hospital if you wait too long. It just happened here in Wash state again yesterday.

You should go in today and just make sure that everything is okay with you and the baby. You could be dilating. Better safe than sorry. Congratulations on your baby.

I have worked in an OBGYN office for 9 years and my mother is an OBGYN..bleeding in preg is not normal. You may be in labor..anything from 2 weeks before due-date is considered normal...GET TO THE DOCTOR!
