for leadership, that is without a doubt brett favre with the number of young players the team brings in every year. elway was also a good leader, but nobody really compares to favre. thats why he is beloved in GB. he holds that team together and keeps it from collapsing. he has taken many pay cuts to stay with the team and he works with his young players. he doesnt wine about when his receivers run the wrong routes, he just makes the coach aware of it, and talks to the receiver on the situation.

Peyton Manning.

He is the only TRUE field general in the NFL. He calls his own plays, is a great passer and leads his team for good and for bad. He's a multi-time MVP, a superbowl champ, and holds many records in the NFL, and just has more time to get the rest. He's defiantly the greatest QB to ever play in the NFL, he's not the best PLAYER ever to be in the NFL, but he's the greatest QB.

He's a class act off the field as well. He's donated money like no other, and restructured his contract to help his team. What other athlete in the NFL will do that? Only a hand-full. He has a great sense of humor, and he's a very marketable person.

He leads in just about everything.

Cal Ripken....not so much a leader, but he showed what its all about. He realized he was getting paid very well to play a game. So he gave it his all, played every day, never whined, didn't whore his services out for money every offseason, he was loyal, as well as a good baseball player...
