me and my husband ttc for 7 months now without any luck
so my doctor wants to pout me on clomid. i dont know if is gonna help. he also said i might have endometriosis and i might need a laparoskopi

I have done it all. I have conceived 3 times on Clomid. The first time I conceived the first month on it. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. It took me 8 months on Clomid to conceive again. During the 7th month, my OBGYN did a laparoscopy on me to check my reproductive organs to see if there was some reason I wasn't conceiving. He found I had a mild case of endometriosis, which he removed immediately with a laser. I conceived the very next month. When my daughter was a year, we started ttc again. It took me 6 months on Clomid to conceive again, but I'm now 16 weeks pregnant. I did gain weight while on Clomid, but only about 1 lb. per month. It's a small price to pay for having children. You can ask your doctor about Femera. My doctor said it works the same way as Clomid, but without all the side effects. He was going to switch me had I not conceived during my 6th round of Clomid. Clomid is a drug to induce ovulation. If you are ovulating on your own with a normal luteal phase then clomid will not be benifical to you. If you don't have periods and don't ovulate then clomid can help. Weight gain is not a typical side effect of clomid. You should chart BBT and find out if you are ovulating before using fertility meds.
Laparoscopy can be very helpful in diagnosing and removing endometriosis.

not to put your doc down
but should he not make sure whether or not you have endo
so he can talk to you about laporosckopi
before he put you on clomid
I would change doc at least get a second prescription
as for whether or not Clomid make you fat
I have never heard that it does
what I do know is that it make you tired, have headache, hot flash and beside you will be only take it for 5 days in a month
not long anough to make you fat

I don't know if it makes you fat or not, but I do know that PCOS can...Make sure your dr. has ruled out this syndrome.
