Let's face it, Bush is the Poster child of preferential treatment. Bush is NOT Ivy league material, yet, somehow, he gets an undergraduate degree at Yale, and a MBA at Harvard. He somehow avoids Vietnam. Can anyone explain?

Can you explain why democrats want everyone else to use affirmative action, when they refuse to use it themselves ?

Why doesn't the democrat party use affirmative action in their political primaries ??

Do they think that minority political candidates haven't been discriminated against in the past ?

Who knows. I think it ironic that people complain about programs that are trying to increase the number of educated in our country. They complain that people are on welfare but then they don't want to help people from those backgrounds go to college.

Affirmative Action only gets people IN to college, it is still their job to be successful and pay for their education. It's not like everyone who benefits from Affirmative Action gets a full-scholarship or even a partial one!

The more educated people we have is this country the less people we will have on welfare. If you don't have an education you can't go very far.

Affirmative action gives preferential treatment based on race (also known as racism), Bush's situation is an example of what you can get for $$$.

BTW, I seriously doubt that you measure up to Bush on the intelligence spectrum.

Everyone has their own stories for why we should have Affirmative Action. So what?

What have you ever done in your life that you did not earn? Did you ever get a soda for free? Did someone ever come into your house to fix your washing machine?

If not, I submit you're in with the wrong crowd.

Affirmative Action succeeds only in propagating oppression. Take away someone else's privileges, while boosting the "unprivileged".

That is the real reason conservatives are against affirmitive action. Strong conservatives disagree with Bush just as much as moderates do.

My Personal Favorite:

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002
