I'm 25 weeks and some days he kicks so hard and others, you can barely tell he's there. I can usually always get his set of kick counts in (10 within 2 hours in morning and 10 after dinner within 2 hours) but, it just seems like recently the kicks have really slowed down and I can hardly feel them. Why is this? it's started to make me worried. Doc said as long as he gets the right kick counts, I'm good, but are some babies just not as active?

I had gotten really scared about that too. He was really moving and then it seemed to slow down. I kept asking my midwife and she kept reassuing me that he was fine AS LONG AS he got one really good movement in a day(like your 10 kick counts) She said sometimes during the day we do not notice as much because we are so busy. Some have said their babies are soooo active and moving all thie time and mine jsut isn't like that, maybe he is a calm baby. He has never kept me up at night but as long as I feel him everyday, I try not to worry.

Sure he is OK- and yes babies develop differently. Whereas some babies are active, others just arent as active. So dont worry too much- However if you need constant reassurance, you can always go back to your Doc, hear the heartbeat and all, that will make you feel better. That helped me a whole lot during my pregnancy- I used to worry about EVERYTHING, but i never got tired of going to my Doc....seeing my Doc helped me relaxed-
So just relax, enjoy being pregnant and stay positive (easier said than done, I know) but try, do it for the baby. He doesnt need negative thoughts..Smile
God bless!

I am 35 weeks with my second child. Both pregnancies have been completely different but one thing will never change, my doctor explained it to me like this:
They are little people, just like us only smaller. They have good days and bad days. As long as you feel them move at least a couple of times a day, don't worry.
Plus, the bigger they get the less room that they have to move. I would not worry about it if I were you. Your about to have enough to worry about when the baby gets here!

my best friends baby at 27 weeks, thats where i am now, didn;t move that much. Mine moves quite a bit, i can feel him doing somersaults. My doctor advised not to start kick counts until 28 weeks, but if yours has you doing them now and he is meeting the criteria in his movements then I wouldn't be too worried, but you can always ask your doctor thats what they are there for.

As they grow bigger, they run out of room. I remember worrying around 25 weeks, too, as mine slowed down. Then a couple weeks later, he picked up again!
Babies have moods like we do, and some get lazy days, too.
As long as you are feeling him move consistently, then you shouldn't worry.

My daughter never kicked at all. I was really worried about her but the doctor said it was normal. Just keep getting check ups to make sure everything is okay.

it is normal that a baby don't kick all the time. Don't worry. he is still there.
