The volume in the Window Media Player is at max. level. I could hear that the speakers are working but hardly hear it. They were so faint. What could be the problem? I know it plug it in the correct hole.

check in windows start button then Program Files/0accessories then entertainment and make sure master volume is turned up

Goto Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Volume Control. Turn all the volumns up to max. Make sure you are in the correct hole usually one is amplified the other is not(usually the amplified one is green)

you might need to take them to a repair store.
And if the problem persists, it might be the computer sound system failing so it would still need a repair anyways.

your Wave is probably really low... double click on the speaker at the bottom of the screen and turn wave UP UP UP

the fact that you have that pentium system has nothing to do with it. just go buy some new speakers
