I am an American muslim and every time i want to go out for a nice walk outside with my younger brother there has to be at least one person who stares laghs and then yell hey terorist go back to ur country? but i was born in America and im not saying i hate my country i love it its just i wish people could be nicer to me i never bother them so y do they bother me?

Maybe you should find a better city to live in. It doesn't matter, if there is something different about you people will focus on it. I have had the same problem being white in the south, circles under my eyes in 7th grade, happy when people want to be unhappy, unhappy when people want to be in denial and act happy etc. No matter what, you will be persecuted for something at some time in your life. Sorry.

I'm sorry sweetie.
This will be so hard, but don't give in to their hatred, if someone does that again,
stop and say to them kindly,
"now that was uncalled for, what have I as an individual ever done to you?"
If there hatred perstits after that , everyone will be laughing at them, because they are the ones that look foolish, giveing uneeded hatred.
Keep your head up, soon you will help to change their biggoted beliefs,

Don't feel alone. Jews are also mocked and have to hire security guards for all their functions. Muslims and Jews have an active inter-faith group here in the city where I live. We have much more in common with each other than we do with Christians.
Their answer is to turn the other cheek. At least that's what they preach, but I haven't seen it practiced much!

Where do you live? That is terrible! The people who say that are ignorant and you should try not to internalize what they're saying. I assume they are teenagers because no mature person would act like that or think like that. I'm sorry you have to go through that. I know it sounds impossible, but try to stay positive in spite of those jerks.

Because they are mad at what happened in 9/11 and yeah they do need to stop because they don't know that person who they are yelling at and I think you should have the right to have a peaceful walk and what you should do right now is ignore it because in your heart you know you are a good person so don't waste your time on them.

Well -- you know your not the only person or race that gets that treatment from others. Other people tend to be like that out of fear and hatred. You have to deal with it, and America is not the only country with this attitude.

Ask them what country they came from and tell them to go back there. Of course the best way would be just to ignore them and their ignorance. We call our selves the land of freedom, what you are going through does not sound like freedom to me. I'm truly sorry for what you have to put up with and your right it is not fair!

Because they have nothing better to do, they were raised to be that way, or they are just plain jerks. I see nothing wrong with muslims. I know a couple and they are nice people!

People are assho**s! I think no matter what color you are or what your Heritage is. People make comments about me cause I am white. I've been called dumb White Bit**! So it seems no matter what color there will always be some jerk who makes you feel like crap! People SUCK!
