I have been a conservative Republican my entire life ......
until GW Bush was propped up as a candidate for President. I deplore what the GOP has devolved into. I give them until the next election to admit their failings and produce a competent candidate or I will switch parties.
I am not alone.

Why would you spend your time baiting liberals, rather than finding solutions that work for everyone? Just because they place their priorities on different aspects of the same problems you face, doesn't make them the enemy. Political parties are not sports teams- the only way one can win is if both win. Mindlessly arguing with emotional rhetoric isn't going to change any minds, and you know it. Why waste time dividing the country further?
A Straw Man argument is a type of logical fallacy, used to derail the topic by putting the other side on the defensive. The best you can hope for in employing such a tactic is a tie; because it forces you off topic too. Do you ever want to get anything done, or do you simply enjoy trolling for unproductive arguments?

Its an election year and they want the republican to look bad. Odds are that a Liberal Democrat will be voted into office. They just don't get that if we just up and pull out that their will definitely be a civil war and Iran and Syria will move in and take over. Its just a bad situation. No one could have predicted that it would have turned into such a mess. NO ONE, not even Bush. I am not a big fan of Bush, but he is doing what is needed to keep the place stable. Pulling out will only cause chaos. So we pull out then the Liberals want us to go back in and help fix it. They don't even know what they want.
Its too bad that the Liberals keep denying that their actually were WMD. The weapons are now in Syria. They have evidence. Clinton knew they had WMD. Why are we all of the sudden denying it?
The idiot above doesn't realize that they are insurgents from Iran, Afganistan and Syria. They are not fighting for the freedom of Iraq. They are fighting to take control of the country and get us to leave. UGH!!!! people really just don't get it. These insurgents are from TERRORIST groups.

If you had an open mind you would recognize that not all liberals cheer on our enemy or hate America.
Most Liberals and conservatives love America. We have different ideas on how or even if this war should continue. We should be able to discuss our differences in a mature, thoughtful, educated manner. Name calling and generalizing does nothing to support your point.

I have never cheered on our enemy, nor have I embraced terrorists as freedom fighters.
And I do not hate America.

no need to lie so much to take the focus off of the president.. we all already know he "isn't very concerned" with Osama Bin Ladin (you know, the mastermind behind 9/11).. but we democrats will take up the search for him again, and the true war on terrorism that Bush has forgotten about (that he even had our support for) when we get a president back in office.

They don't.
Why do Neo-Cons want to eliminate the Bill of Rights, turn America into a totalitarian state, and get American soldiers killed over a lie?
Why do Neo-Cons hate America? Why do they hate the military?

Why do Conservative have the need to continue to mislead the public by invoking this pseudo-nationalism. You guys love to use the troops as political pawns to get your agenda done. But its the sons of working class people (traditional democrats) that are paying the price. Keep selling but no one buying that crap anymore.

1. liberals do not "cheer on our enemy". Do you have any proof of that? Cite it.
2. If the USA were invaded and Americans like me fought against them we would be "freedom fighters", even though people like you would side with the invaders and call us "insurgents".
3. I love the USA. I have served in our nation's military and still serve my country today.
Are you in iraq fighting? Not likely.
