hi for my science homework i need to know how to stop magnetic fields. can u help?????

magnetic fields are everywhere! I'd say, an opposite field like positive to negative, will cancel out the fields and cause them to repel! I don't think u can git rid of them!

Magnetic shielding works similar to electric field shielding.

If you want to create a volume that is shielded from outside electric fields, you can generally do this by enclosing it in a metallic box. Electric fields are then "shorted" by the highly conductive metal. In general, better shields employ better conductors.

In a similar way magnetic fields can be shorted by a material of high magnetic permeability. I'll leave it up to you to suggest some materials that are good "conductors" of magnetic flux.

I don't think you can. You may be able to neutralise the effects with an equal magnet in the opposite place.
