West Indies do have a chance to win the CWC. The real question is...will they make use of their opportunities?...I'm not sure!
When I say opportunities, I mean the fact that they are playing on home ground (although to some degree it is not really an advantage because most of the stadia built for the World Cup are new and even WI are not very familiar with the pitches themselves).
Another advantage is the crowd support. The format of the Super 8 should suit them better than most of the other teams because they were well rested before CWC so I do not expect them to fatigue as compared to those that came from previous tournaments.
West Indies, and to a lesser extent the other teams, have to start believing that they can compete and beat the Australians. I have not seen any team that has demonstrated this mindset thus far.
I know that it is easier said than done, Australia is a fantastic team but if you don't believe, then all other teams would be playing each other to determine who will take second place. At least that is how it looks at the moment!

West Indies have already lost to Australia by 103 runs and thus have lost the advantage of 2 points they have carried forward from Group Stage. While they can still look forward to win the world cup, they have to improve their performance if they have to win the world cup. To me the chances of West Indies winning the world cup are very remote.

They lost to Australia.
World cup maybe not this time but I think they are going back up the ladder. I heard that some one start a competition in the west indies to get people playing again. And when kids are playing in the streets, it good signs.
This is Mc Graths last world cup and Australia will miss him.

i think they do have a slight chance, it also helps with the ammount of support each team has, the more fans, the more confidence, but then again australia and south africa have amazing players and have reached amazing scores.

No, sorry I dont think so. Playing on home territory is always an advantage, but realistically Australia ( and SA as well) are probably too strong.
...but I think they will at least reach the last four stage, which is pretty good.
