I always do mine, last night my sister in law was involved in an auto accident and did not have my nephew buckled up or anything, he is only three years old. I am so aggravated with her right now. We were taking care of him and was hoping she would let us keep him tell she got straightened out but she got him back this past Sunday and now this happens GrRRRR

luckily he was not hurt to bad. The driver had glass in his eyes that had to be surgically removed (don't really feel bad for him) and my sister in law is bruised up I have no idea how the baby was not hurt must have been an angel watching over him

Absolutely! I'd never risk HIS life. I may take some pretty stupid chances...but I will NEVER take a chance with my son's life.

Being part of all the traffic means that it comes with responsibilities.Certainly to kids. They never see danger coming:the adults in the front do.But most of the time they are buckled up.And if they would have half a brain they would buckle up their kids too.
This is too stupid for words
I can see the look on your face:you are angry as hell
And right you are.Irresponsible adult behavior.

I am sorry about your nephew. Was he hurt badly? I've always buckled my daughter and has always buckled up her own, from the time she has been old enough to reach. Hope all is better for you and all. Take care.

Always...

I've been known to scream at Mothers that I see who hold their baby in the back seat, etc etc..or having like a 2-3 year old in the front seat. That annoys the crap out of me. How I've not gotten into a fist fight, I'll never know.

Yes, I always make sure that my grand-kids are buckled in and so does anyone who takes them anywhere. Their lives are to important not to have them buckled in and safe.

I've taught mine to do it themselves.

If you put the car in motion before they are buckled in, you will get an ear-full from both of them

I weep for your nephew.

Yes - I refuse to start the car until she is buckled in.

Your sister-in-law is a loser for doing that.

I hope she gets in big trouble for it and I hope your nephew is OK. She should not be allowed to drive with her children.

I always buckle my kid and myself up.

My son is always in his carseat. The car does not move until he's completely buckled in.
