No it won't. You'll need the Home disc and the Home product key.

Window Vista has far extra function plus extra ideal hardware that help vista with window xp slightly any applications that would save up with extra cutting-edge technologies. Plus the rationalization why they make a 2d Verizon of a product is by way of the fact it fairly is extra ideal then the a million st verizon. So earlier you initiate saying window xp is extra ideal then vista that's clearly no longer by using fact with window xp barley has any applications can it help blue the tooth? Can window xp be connect with xbox 360 or ps3? vista can yet plus those people who're saying xp the two cant handle to pay for vista or has a older laptop.... and likewise they made a extra cutting-edge verison of vista much less glichts.

It is illegal to copy the code from someone else. You need to buy a legitimate copy of Windowsxp (Home or Pro).

Sorry to have to tell you this, but the Operating system requires an Internet connection and it will check with Microsoft as to whether this code has been used before. (for re-install - or pirating).

Home and Pro are different types of codes so they will not work except on its own (as common sense dictates)

The End User License Agreement (EULA) states explicitly what one can and cannot do.

You can try to circumvent the Microsoft Key but it is not going to be easy nor will it be legal. If you look at the code there are 8 sets of 4 digits I believe and they are in Alphanumeric format, which means 10+26 potential for each digit.

So tto attempt to brute force guess this you have to guess 1 in ~36^32. (large number)

It would be easier to guess the lottery numbers

My suggestion is to use Linux - or www.knoppix.org (excellent CD based Linux Distro)

Using microsoft software you did'nt pay for is against the law. And it's easy to get caught. There's data on the disc that can be tracked. You cannot remove this data as it's on your hard drive when you install the disc. Ok if you don't go online. Sooner or later you'll get caught and your system will be shut down by microsoft.
