Yes (albeit bigotry against National Origin not racism.... the German people are not a race).

The official Nazi political party no longer exists. Even if it did, not every citizen would be a member of it.

I know a few german people they are nothing like a Nazi and of course must be Nazi germans as well , but I wouldn't use the term Nazi to refer to any German, that's wrong!

Yes it is wrong. There are still many people alive that belonged to the Nazi party. However, not all "Nazi's" we Nazis by choice. Young men were required to fight, if not they were taken as a political prisoner and made to work the labor camps. Often times there were repercussions on the family if just one person of that family was to speak out against Hitler. So really they had no choice in the matter, die or join.

Yes. Very! That was then. This is now. That party may have followers, who you would be within reason to call 'nazis;' but no others.
In my opinion, it's wrong to call anyone names or swear at them, even. Shows a lack of respect for a fellow human being. It would be a little nicer place if people would just be a little nicer to each other....

YES! I lived nine years in Germany as an imigrant to germany from america. There are so many personalities, political view points, attitudes, you name it, in germany that to assume they are nazi by birthplace is of course wrong. Nasi is, I believe, facism, I could be wrong about that, facism is in, part, the idea that you are either for us or against us and if you are against us you are some how less usually to bad ends for you.

Yes, its the same as calling anyone by a name other than what they are simply because they are Jewish, Chinese, African, American, Indian, etc.

No, that's not really racist. I guess it's more like ethnic nationalistic stereotyping.

-It is not racist because you are talking about a NATION not a race and you are excluding all other people of the same 'racial' background who do not live with in those political/geographical boarders. It is 'ETHNIC' because you are referring to people who share a particular culture, language, etc. not always physical or genetic traits. It is STEREOTYPING because you would be claiming all of those people are part of the same organization which happened to once be based out of that country. Ethnic. National. Stereotype.

I can only assume all the 'thumb downs' are from people who believed I was somehow saying it's a positive thing?
